Art is at the beating heart of the new Royal United Hospital cancer centre design, shaping the patient and staff experience on every level. Inspired by the use of art to heal and support the cancer journey the Hope community has placed art as central to each of its events.

For the inaugural Hope Ball we gathered a collection of fine art for auction, curated with a focus on prominent, contemporary artists with a connection to Bath. With all art donated, the art auction helped raise nearly £100,000 for the new cancer centre at the RUH.

For the 2019 Hope Ball our art team curated a stunning collection of pieces from artists such as Miriam Escofet, winner of the 2018 BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery, Bruce Munro and Richard Twose and local talent including Nick Cudworth and Louise Holgate.
